Meet the Inventor

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Marshall Nix was the inventor and creator of Bristol Finish Wood Coatings.  He developed Bristol Finish after he could not find a wood coating for his sailboat that could hold up consistently to the ruthless Florida sun. Adventurous and fun to be around, an avid sailor, dedicated husband and father, he was an industry leader in the marine coatings field. Regrettably he passed away in 2011. His attention to detail was evident in every product he invented, dedicating years to making the product perfect before introducing it to the public. Bristol Finish Wood Coatings are known as premium wood coatings, not only for the marine but also the architectural industries.
